Acara yang dihadiri Ribuan masyarkat kota Batam Melanesia Fast 2024: Satu Hati, Satu Rasa Melanesia Jaya.Adapun acara ini bertujuan mempererat ikatan masyarakat Melanesia di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah Kepri, yang dikenal sebagai masyarakat indonesia bagian timur,
Dalam kesempatan itu ketua Rumpun Malanesia Bersatu (RMB) ZAINAL Lewaimang menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada RMB atas peringatan hari jadinya yang pertama ini. Ia berharap agar RMB semakin solid dan berperan aktif dalam pembangunan Provinsi Kepri, serta khususnya pembangunan Kota Batam.
“Selamat HUT yang pertama untuk Rumpun Melanesia Bersatu. Harapan kami semoga RMB semakin kompak dan dapat berkontribusi dalam pembangunan Provinsi Kepri,” ujarnya.
Beliau juga menyampaikan pesan agar RMB tetap menjaga kekompakan dan terus meneguhkan peran mereka dalam berbuat yang terbaik untuk Provinsi Kepri.
Gubernur Kepri, Ansar Ahmad, yang turut hadir memberikan apresiasi kepada RMB atas kontribusinya dalam menjaga keberagaman dan keharmonisan budaya di Kepri.
Perayaan HUT RMB ini dimeriahkan dengan berbagai penampilan budaya dari kelompok etnis Melanesia. Mulai dari tari-tarian tradisional, musik, yang Mencerminkan kekayaan budaya Melanesia.
Berbagai elemen masyarakat dan penampilan budaya tersebut menambah semarak perayaan dan menunjukkan indahnya keberagaman budaya di Kepri.
Dengan digelarnya acara ini, RMB berharap dapat terus mempererat hubungan di antara sesama masyarakat Melanesia dan masyarakat lainnya di Kepri, serta menginspirasi persatuan dan kesatuan yang kuat di seluruh Indonesia.Tidak sampai disitu saja, (RBM) Rumpun Malanesia Bersatu Akan membantu kota batam mejadi gerbang yang Madani,tutupnya.
