Sidang dibuka langsung oleh Ketua DPRD Kota Metro, Ria Hartini. Pada kesempatan itu hadir juga Walikota Metro, H. Bambang Iman Santoso, Camat dan Lurah se-Kota Metro.
Ria Hartini dalam mengawali sambutan pembukaan sidang tersebut mengatakan, Anggota DPRD yang hadir pada kesempatan tersebut berjumlah 21 dari 25 anggota Dewan. Sehingga Forum terpenuhi, dan rapat dapat dilaksanakan.
“Rapat ke 3 masa sidang ke 1 tahun 2025, kami nyatakan dibuka dan terbuka untuk umum, ” ungkapnya.
Selanjutnya dengan pembacaan laporan oleh Sekretaris Dewan Kota Metro, Ade Erwinsyah yang berisikan dokumen laporan-laporan Keterangan Pertanggung Jawaban Walikota Metro TA 2024.
“Menindaklanjuti Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri Nomor 19 Tahun 2024 Tentang peraturan pelaksana, peraturan pemerintah tahun 13 tahun 2019, tentang laporan kerja penyelenggaraan daerah. Menjadi kewajiban untuk menyampaikan keterangan LKPJ dalam rapat Paripurna DPRD, paling lambat 3 bulan sebelum tahun anggaran berakhir, ” jelasnya.
Untuk selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pembahasan dan diberikan rekomendasi atas penyenglengaraan pemerintah daerah tahun anggaran 2024.
Sidang dilanjutkan dengan mendengarkan pidato laporan LKPJ oleh Walikota Metro, H. Bambang Iman Santoso. Atas nama Pemkot Metro, Ia mengucapkan terimakasih atas terselenggaranya sidang paripurna tersebut.
“Izinkan saya mengucapkan rasa terimakasih sebesar-besarnya untuk segenap Anggota Dewan Kota Metro yang telah berkenan menjadwalkan rapat pada hari ini, ” ungkap Bambang.
Walikota Metro membacakan Penyampaian Laporan Keterangan Pertanggung Jawaban (LKPJ) Wali kota Metro Tahun Anggaran 2024. Ia menyebutkan, laporan tersebut merupakan amanat yang diatur dalam UU nomor 23 tahun 2014, tentang pemerintahan daerah.
“Dalam ketentuan tersebut, kepala daerah diwajibkan laporan Keterangan Pertanggung Jawaban kepada DPRD paling lambat 3 bulan setelah berakhirnya tahun anggaran,” bebernya.
Laporan tersebut berisi tentang hasil pelaksanaan urusan pemerintahan selama tahun 2024, sebagai bagian dari tahun ke 4 pelaksanaan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD), ditetapkan oleh peraturan Daerah Kota Metro nomor 7 Tahun 2021. Antara lain, tentang laju pertumbuhan ekonomi, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan, kesehatan, sosial budaya dan pendidikan. (Rusia).
